BÖRNER
When the phenomenon 'colour' starts moving, also the border between artist and image elapses. The colour paints as well, the more liquid it is, the more independently.
In the process of the diffusing of colour their ordinances bared to me of their own volition. Its amorphousness always was advantage, possibility and challenge at the same time. Through a watery application of the colour on the white canvas it reached its purest luminance, because its transparency made it translucent. The contrast of two clashing, variegated spaces by a rich application of colour on the other hand granted the colour an elementary power, because by its materiality it became earth-like.
Painting thereby turned to an examination with the elements (water, earth, air, fire) for me, depending on which element was essential in my interior in this moment.
